By accessing or using our Service, you indicate that you understand, accept, and consent to the practices described in this policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of our Service after we make changes indicates that you accept and consent to those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

WHAT IS “PERSONAL INFORMATION”

Privacy laws in Canada generally define "personal information" as any information about an identifiable individual, which includes information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person. Personal information does not include business contact information, including your name, title, or business contact information.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

We collect and use several types of personal information from and about you, including:

  • Identifiers, that we can reasonably use to directly or indirectly identify you, such as your name, postal address, email addresses, telephone number, usernames or other similar identifier, any other identifiers we may use to contact you or any information, photos and content that third-party platforms provide to us when you choose to link our Service with your profile through a social login.

  • Demographic Information, such as your age, birthdate and gender.

  • Commercial information, such as information that enables us to determine lifestyle, interests, and activities, including purchasing tendencies and order history (such as the Tokenz you purchase and redeem); areas of interest; information collected through you interactions with social networks; information about persons for whom your have purchased Tokenz as gifts or who bought Tokenz as gifts for you; and information about friends who refer you or whom you have referred.

  • Technical information, including your login information, device’s IP address, device type, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, or information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Service, your device’s screen resolution, and usage details

With your consent, we may also collect and use, your device’s location in order to provide more relevant recommendations and a better service for our users. Consent is given by allowing our Service to access your device’s location services through the appropriate setting on your browser and/or device.

  • Financial information, such as information collected from you as needed to process payments for Tokenz or other products or services that you buy, or as provided by you to administer your participation in optional services and programs, such as your payment card number, expiration date and card verification number.

  • Internet and network activity information, such as information about your browsing behaviour, search history, and interactions with websites, apps and advertisements, including data from cookies, pixel tags and web beacons.

  • Inferences regarding preferences and other characteristics, that we can reasonably make to form an assessment of the types of products or services you may have an interest in.

  • Non-personal information, that does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity or directly relate to an identifiable individual, such as demographic information, or statistical or aggregated information. Statistical or aggregated data does not directly identify a specific person, but we may derive non-personal statistical or aggregated data from personal information. For example, we may aggregate personal information to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Service feature.

We provide an opportunity for any user to unsubscribe from our Service or opt-out of contact for marketing purposes on an ongoing basis by unlinking your third-party social login profile with the Website or by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ in our emails to you. See HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION.

 

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

We may collect personal information about you from a variety of sources including through:

  • Direct interactions with you when you provide it to us. For example, when you use our Service; make a purchase; register to receive information, products, or services available through our Service; or interact with us in other ways. We will collect any information voluntarily provided to us. We will also collect any information that you voluntarily enter into any postings, comments, or forums within our Service. We may obtain information about you or your use of our Service from third party sources, such as our vendors, like web hosting providers, analytics providers, or advertisers. You may give us permission to access your information from services offered by third parties, including social media networks.

  • User contributions. You may also provide information for us to publish or display on public Service areas or transmit to other Service users or third parties.

Information You Provide to Us:

The information we collect directly from you on or through our Service may include:

  • Information that you provide by filling in any forms on our Service. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Service through social logins.

  • Any information that you may include in your posts, comments and reviews or uploaded onto any message boards, bulletin boards or any page on the website.

  • Information you provide when you choose to provide ratings, taste preferences, account settings, or otherwise provide information to us through our service or elsewhere.

  • Any information shared to us by third parties through which you have accessed our Service using a social login. This may include, but is not limited to, Meta and Google login options.

  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.

Information We Collect Through Cookies and Other Automatic Data Collection Technologies:

As you navigate through and interact with our Service, we may use cookies or other automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

Third Party Use of Cookies

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To operate, maintain and improve our Service and other programs, features and functionality related to our Service;

  • To provide you with information, products, or services from us and our business partners. We use your geolocation, including your precise geolocation, consistent with this Privacy Policy as described above to deliver location-based offers, products or services that may be of interest to you;

  • To fulfill the purposes for which you provided the information or that were described when it was collected, or any other purpose for which you provide it;

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide as described in this privacy policy:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.

  • In accordance with applicable law, to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Tokenz’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Tokenz about our customers and users is among the assets transferred.

  • To vendors and service provides who perform a variety of services and functions for us, such as data storage, order fulfillment, transmitting emails, and managing digital content (including payment services provides, data analytics provides, delivery service provides, fraud protection and prevention provides, internet service provides, operating systems and platforms).

  • To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have consented to these disclosures. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.   • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business (such as analytics and search engine providers that assist us with Service improvement and optimization) and who are contractually obligated to keep personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and to process the personal information with the same standards set out in this policy.

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

  • With your consent.

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request, in accordance with applicable law.

  • To enforce or apply our terms of use Terms of Use and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tokenz, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

 

DATA SECURITY

The security of your personal information is very important to us. We use physical, electronic, and administrative measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password, or verification code, for access to certain parts of our Service, you are responsible for keeping this password, or verification code, confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of our Service like message boards, which any Service visitor can view. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Service. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on our Service.

 

DATA RETENTION

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Once no longer required, your personal information will be securely destroyed or anonymized (so the information no longer identifies you).

 

TRANSFERS

Business Transfers and Corporate Changes:

Tokenz reserves the right to disclose, transfer, or license any and all information related to our Service, including personal information:

  • To a subsequent owner, co-owner or operator of our Service or any portion or operation related to part of Service; or

  • In connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, or restructuring, the sale of substantially all of our stock and/or assets, or other corporate change, including, without limitation, during the course of any due diligence process.

 

Cross-Border Transfers of Personal Information:

We may transfer your personal information to other countries, including to the United States. As a result, your personal information may be subject to the law of the jurisdiction in which it is transferred, including any law permitting or requiring disclosure of the information to the government, government agencies, courts and law enforcement in that jurisdiction. Regardless of where we transfer your information, we will still protect your information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

Our Service is hosted on servers located in the United States and therefore in order to provide our Service, we will be required to transfer, store and use your data cross-border. Please note that many of the third-party services we engage with through our Service are based in the United States and may hold servers internationally as well. As such, your data may be subject to U.S. or other foreign law. In addition, these third parties will have their own privacy policies and terms of use, which you can access on their respective websites for full information. We do not have any control over and do not accept any responsibility or liability for these third party policies or terms of use.

 

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes. By law you have the right to request access to and to correct the personal information that we hold about you.

If you want to review, verify, correct, or withdraw consent to the use of your personal information you may also send us an email at info@tokenz.group to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also unlinking your user account with the third-party platform you may have used to log in to our Service. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and your right to access, and to provide you with the personal information that we hold about you or make your requested changes. Applicable law may allow or require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal information that we hold about you, or we may have destroyed, erased, or made your personal information anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

We will provide access to your personal information, subject to exceptions set out in applicable privacy legislation. Examples of such exceptions include:

  • Information protected by solicitor-client privilege.

  • Information that is part of a formal dispute resolution process.

  • Information that is about another individual that would reveal their personal information or confidential commercial information.

  • Information that is prohibitively expensive to provide.

If you delete your User Contributions from our Service, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other users. Proper access and use of information provided on our Service, including User Contributions, is governed by our terms of use Terms of Use.

 

CHOICES ABOUT HOW WE USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION

We think that you benefit from a more personalized experience when we know more about you and what you like. However, you can limit the information you provide to Tokenz, and you can limit the communications that we send to you. In particular:

  • Commercial Emails: You may choose not to receive commercial e-mails from us by following the instruction contained in any of the commercial e-mails we send or by logging into your account and adjusting your email preferences. Please note that even if you unsubscribe from commercial email messages, we may still email you non-commercial emails related to your account and your transactions on our Service. You may updated your subscriptions preferences at any time.

  • Cookies and Other Technologies: You may manage how your browser handles cookies by adjusting its privacy and security settings. Browsers are different, so refer to instructions related to your browser to learn about cookie-related and other privacy and security settings that may be available. We use internet and network activity information and device date to directly serve you interest-based offers on third-party websites and mobile application

  • Device Data: You may manage how your mobile device and mobile browser share certain device data with Tokenz, as well as how your mobile browser handles cookies by adjusting the privacy and security settings on your mobile device. Please refer to the instructions provided by your mobile service provides to learn more.

When you first use our Service we may request permission to collect and use your device’s precise geolocation. You can opt not to permit the collection of this information, or permit it only when using the mobile app, but it may limit certain functions or features of our Service. You can control how and whether we collect your precise geolocation information through your device’s settings.

 

WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT

Where you have provided your consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal information, you may have the legal right to withdraw your consent under certain circumstances. To withdraw your consent, if applicable, contact us at info@tokenz.group. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with a particular product or service. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Service home page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you by the email that you may have provided by filling in a form on our Service, through the email given to us by the third-party service you used to log-in to our Service, or through a notice on our Service home page.
